Duties:
- Operate a tow truck to transport vehicles to designated locations
- Load and unload vehicles onto the tow truck using proper equipment and techniques
- Safely secure vehicles to the tow truck to prevent damage during transportation
- Navigate to various locations using GPS or maps to efficiently complete assigned jobs
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting stranded motorists and ensuring their satisfaction
- Perform basic automotive diagnostics and mechanical knowledge to assess vehicle issues
- Utilize other equipment as needed to move heavy objects or vehicles
- Maintain accurate records of each tow, including vehicle information and destination and pictures
Skills:
- Proficient in operating a tow truck, including knowledge of manual transmission and flatbed operations
- Strong conflict management skills to handle difficult situations with customers or other drivers on the road
- Possess a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Knowledge of automotive diagnostics to identify common vehicle issues
- Ability to use a forklift or other equipment safely and effectively
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations
Note: Prior experience as a tow truck driver is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate who possesses the necessary skills and qualifications.
